At Ecco Bella, we are inspired by compassion for all living beings to create products that beautify and protect our customers and the planet. We guarantee all our products with truth, beauty and 100% satisfaction.

Where Science is in Awe of Nature
Since 1992, we have been dedicated to respectful science. “At Ecco Bella, we invent hard-to-find beauty products where we break all the rules.”
The industry is saturated with product lines that make false claims and take short cuts. When we develop products for you, they are made ethically, authentically, are safe and offer superior performance. Each active natural ingredient in our products has undergone various clinical trials and studies to validate their benefits in formulas that honor the most sensitive of Intelligent Beauties who are devoted to this brand.
Gratitude is a number one emotion at EB.
Inspired by the philosophy of Eliot Cowan the author of Plant, Spirit, Medicine, we are humbled by and grateful for the contributions of the plant world to our products; our clothing, our homes and our food.

No Microbeads!
What were the managers at Johnson and Johnson, Estee Lauder, Unilever, Procter & Gamble and other beauty companies, thinking when they put millions of tiny plastic beads into body washes, where they disappeared into our waterways? Look for the words polyethylene and bio-polyethylene in the ingredients and run. Sustainability and protecting the planet for our children and animals is our goal. At EB we continually ask all suppliers to develop biodegradable packaging for us.
Compassion For All Living Beings
While animal testing has become rare in the beauty industry, many beauty companies still use slaughterhouse products like collagen, elastin, stearic acid and hyaluronic acid in their products. Ecco Bella was founded out of protest to the use of animals. Compassion and respect for all living beings is our reason for existence.

Meet Sally Malanga. EB CEO & Founder
Founded in 1992 by social entrepreneur Sally Malanga, Ecco Bella is a pioneer in natural and organic beauty products. Sally began Ecco Bella, a name that means "Behold Beautiful!" to celebrate the beauty of her customers, because of her disgust with the use of animals for product testing, and with respect for the wonder of nature.
To that end, Sally realized there was a world of plant-based ingredients including powerful nutraceuticals from ethical suppliers. “Every small purchase we each make of products to use on our bodies or to eat, affects not only us, but the entire planet.”
Sally Malanga loves her work for the board of Friends of Animals, Primarily Primates and the New Jersey Sustainable Business Council.

Redefining Beauty
"Beauty marketing must be redirected from the banal, the false, the promoters and the insecure."

Our founder Sally Malanga, is a board member of
Friends of Animals, an international advocacy non-profit whose courageous actions far exceeds its footprint. It began the world’s first low-cost spay neuter program for dogs and cats in New York City in 1957. From there it became a voice, a lobbyist and a legal team for the rights of animals in all realms whether in the sea, the forest, on the farm or right in our homes. Friends of Animals is a great organization to join. Sally supports Friends of Animals campaigns for legal protection of all animals’ right to live in peace.
EB supports Primarily Primates annual Great Apes Giving Day which helps to fund the sanctuary of rare primates near San Antonio, Texas.
Sally is a founding member of Our Green West Orange and has spoken out in numerous forums for local protections of trees and open space.
The Business of Responsibility
